This idea was given to me by my dear friend, =Ehryn I was going to surprise her with it when I met her for the first time at ALCON but... I lost my patience At the mention of ALCON, this is one of the paintings I will be selling there when I go!
This is officially the first canvas painting I have ever done for myself. I finally bought some canvases and acrylics and began this. It means I can practice painting for once, not just make it up as I go along as I have done with school work for god knows how long
I've had to use acrylics in school since gcse but I was surprised to revel recently in the fact that they feel exactly the same as tubed watercolours. They're a tad thicker in consistency and it dries slightly slower, but apart from that they just feel the same! I'm pretty sure they come in equally bright colours too
This does look better in real life. The lighting (as ever) has caused some problems when taking the photo. I've had to use the burn tool on the left side of the canvas but there's nothing I can do about the blurriness and desaturation :/ One day I will find a way of taking a decent photo of a canvas!
Resources:
Dryad body reference from ~AngelCage-stock.
Dryad head reference and Naiad head reference from *SenshiStock.
The rest, as you can probably tell, is made up
