Night Shadows Caress The Moon

Well, I posted in various places on Facebook asking people to come up with a word or a phrase no longer than 5 words that could be a narrative for an illustration. A lot of people commented (I have two pages of phrases!) and I thumbnailed some quick ideas based on the ones that really captured my imagination, then developed from there.
The title is the original phrase I based this painting on- actually, my mother came up with this one! Other phrases include; 'The moon shone brightly', 'Whales swam above their heads' and 'Blue in a Gold World'.
This painting will be for sale at London MCM comic con next weekend.
