This probably took close to 40 hours over afew months and I think I've screwed up my hand Y^Y But I'll end up having a break for a week so its okay... I hope ?

This is an illustration of a poem my friend Adam ~Adonael wrote called Artists of the Words. I fell in love with it instantly and asked him round to my house to work out some of the hidden meanings and whatnot. The meaning to me after reading the poem was that; on this site where painted images dominate, written works are heavily underestimated and ignored.
I myself am guilty of acting this way towards poems and such. I have found it difficult to read anything ever since I took up art seriously and I have to really knuckle down to finish any written work. Fortunately, Adam has very readable work! He was the first person to let me enjoy a written work in years, so for that I am also greatful
(and yeah the writer is kicking the painter's ass)

The ninjas were based off two lines in the poem that were in the last paragraph but which adam has now removed so I will write them here:

"ok admit it, we so had you fooled
we DARNINJACATED you old school"

We both had fun making this because we modelled the artist/ writer and the ninjas ourselves The paintbrush and the pen were originally a sweeping brush and a garden hoe (and my sister took photos, Thanks Jo! )
Ive definetly conquered moss but I'm not that pleased with the writing side. It looks like children have coloured it in with crayons T^T and I have never written the words Moss, Tree, Leaf and Sky so many times in my damn life! ><

I will probably post a closeups collage because this is about a quarter of the original size and alot of detail will have been lost.
And sorry for writing an essay but this stuff really piled up o_o
